Bank of Brazil SIG

A project of expansion, renovation and revitalization/retrofitting of systems of the Printing Building of the Bank of Brazil, in Brasilia, with a total area of 13,000 m². The project contemplated the secure environment of the National Security Archive of Bank of Brazil, a new area in the building, with 1,800 m². The National Security Archive of BB was equipped with a state-of-the-art building automation system, controlling the temperature and humidity of the environments, the various accesses with biometric readers and a new digital CCTV system.

The expansion of the Printing House building was accomplished with the construction of 2,263 m² mezzanines in metallic structure, steel-deck floor type, and concrete, which supports a distributed load of 1 ton/m². 98 tons of metallic structures were used, and 127 m² of metallic marquees were installed in the access ramps of the south façade of the building.

To meet the new demand, Almeida França reviewed/replaced/expanded the building's electrical system, including new general and distribution boards, electric feeders and transformers. To meet the emergency demand, two new generator sets were installed, totaling 2,500 KVA, as well as the number of UPS was expanded.
