Venâncio Shopping
Venâncio Shopping was one of the first shopping centers to open in Brasilia in 1977. In 2017 it was reopened after a retrofit that aimed to modernize and bring comfort and well-being to users. Today the venture has 120 thousand m2 of built area and 15 thousand m2 of gross leasable area, with stores and commercial rooms distributed in three pavements and three gastronomic spaces, being two food courts with 40 restaurants and a gourmet balcony. Being located in the center of Brasilia and surrounded by commercial buildings, the place receives about 40 thousand visitors per day.
Almeida França participated in the modernization of the space and was responsible for the installation works of the following systems:
- Air conditioning;
- Mechanical ventilation;
- Exaustão mecânica na praça de alimentação e nos banheiros;
- Pressurization of emergency stairs for fire fighting measures (mandatory items in shopping centers) with the installation of fans on the east and west sides of the building.
In addition, renovations were made to the old air conditioning systems.
For the air conditioning system, 02 cooling units with water condensation were installed with 120TR of cooling capacity, totaling 240TR's. Besides the chillers, 10 sets of cold water pumps (primary and secondary network) and 02 cooling towers are also part of the solution installed for the central ice water. For acclimatization of the environments served by the central ice water, were supplied and installed air conditioners type "fancoil", ducted and with air diffusers performing the inflation of environments. All "fancoils" have a motorized two-way valve, condensing water draining pump and centrifugal evaporator fan, in order to ensure silent and efficient operation.
Currently, Almeida France takes care of the maintenance of four new and used chillers. The building's air conditioning system is supervised (monitoring and control) by a building automation system and integrated with the superior supervisory system.
